re: Rewriting history

I said: "Who is saying that it is *all about* installing a democracy. "

Robert says:
"Tom and the article. See the post that started this thread."

I didn't see Tom saying this. I do see Robert saying "the revisionist assertion that that wasn't the reason for war, that actually it was all about installing democracy."
It's true that revisionists or conspiracy theory type wackos are typically trying to claim is "all about" something. A list of the "all about" could include:
Bush is a fascist
Oil contracts and personal gain for Cheney. Or for leading Republican or just Republicans.
George W Bush revenge for Sadam's attemping to murder Bush Sr when he was out of office.
Bush just being stupid.
Not having a plan for the war [this could be also put under: Bush just being stupid.].
Big Corporation plan of world domination [also related to Jew world domination].
Bush lying and fooling all those poor stupid people in the media [or more of the Big Corporation/Jew world Domination thingy]
CIA engineering 911 [More of the Big Corporation/Jew thingy].
Iraq is failure because not enough troops were used.
Iraq is failure because UN troops weren't used instead.
Iraq is failure because it's simply an impossible task to use any miltary force against a country like Iraq: Nothing good EVER results from war [any wars or certain types of war and Iraq is this certain type of war].

And the list goes on.

The simple fact is that President Bush did not know if the US was going to invade Iraq prior to 2003. He was certainly thinking that this could a possiblity, but he did not know if this was going to happen.
I know this doesn't fit "the plot" of various conspiracy ideas and very tough for you to accept this obvious fact.
May I suggest that if you were to briefly pause in your attempt to pound square pegs into round holes, you might be able to have a rational thought or two.
