It was nominated for a razzy award
Lost it to Cat Woman.
If Stone wanted to make a point that Alexander was gay that's fine. The fact he felt he had to remind the audience every 2 minutes took away from the movie. There was an opportunity for some great battle scenes they skipped right over with a little narration.
A very disappointing movie. One of the worst of the 2005.
