...you're right.
I was expecting to find the Chicago Democrat clan, the Truman crime roots and the Kennedy clan to outweigh the Republicans, but as I started an in-depth consultation of the Lexis-Nexis, I discovered to my horror that more Republican have been convicted of bribery over the past 100 years than Democrats.
And not just by a small margin. The ratio was more like 3:1.
With those disturbing factoids and Bush's recent display of total cowardice on the immigration issue down in Mexico, again repeating the horrible lie that there are jobs Americans "wont do", I find myself in a fog politically. Republicans ARE sell outs. Randy 'Duke' Cunningham being the latest in a long line of such GOP members with flexible morals and legislating with ulterior motive$.
What are your ideas for a third party? How can we truly reform Washington? How can a third party be made convincingly viable to the disaffected GOP and Democrat base that feel their party has left them?
I know many GOP folks must feel like me and seek a better group of people to represent them. Even Tom likely posts in frustration for the lack, as yet, of a better alternative to our political and moral beliefs.
Looking forward to hearing your ideas.
