the virtue of Pascal's wager...........

Lies in the fact that addressing the concerns of "global warming" (whatever it might be) falls in the category of couldn't hurt. (See Leo Rosten's Joys of Yiddish for definition.)

There is nothing flat in your gratuitous denial <" to going off half-cocked on the refried socialist solutions usually proposed to "solve" global warming."> In that you present an automatic pejoritive response to any and all "solutions" to global warming.

I have no idea the solutions you reference, but I am sure there are some suggested solutions that have merit and would do no harm if used. I am also sure that multiple approaches will be required to solving what appears to be a complex problem in that even the reality of the "problem" seems to be in contention.

With this in mind, using the approach of Pascal's wager and doing a "baby step" methodology might give us a better concept of the problem. I am curious about what the "refried socialist solutions to solve global warming" might be. Do these also derive from your Sci Fi and Fantasy political doctrine base?
