I am driven to tears....

....associated with uncontroled laughter. That was one of your more incomprehensible posts.

For the record, I opposed going to war in Iraq because it was completely unnecessary and bad for America's long term interests. Evidence for WMDs was weak and unconvincing. Sanctions were working. Saddam was no longer a military threat to the region - he was fully contained. Fully two-thirds of the country was under the iron fist of an internationally sanctioned no-fly zone.

For but one percent of the cost and with virtually no loss of life of American soldiers, we could have continued keeping Saddam contained and isolated without going to war. In the meantime, we would have had plenty of resources to finish the job in Afghanistan and would have retained our international credibility and influence...we wouldn't have either North Korea or Iran thumbing their noses at us.

The war is Iraq was bad idea. Its entire premise was based upon an utter failure in inteligence. The present quagmire was entirely predictable and avoidable. This nation is paying a terrific price for the incompetence of the President and his neocon cronies.

Though fully 65% of American public now think the war was a bad idea, there are still unfortunate Bush sycophants who will praise the President no matter how bad it gets.
