(Sorry Bush v. yellowcake revisited yet again....)

The current brouhaha over THAT line in the SOTU reminds me of the definition of "sexual relations" and "is".
Perhaps it would die down if the administration came out with one single voice on the matter.

Why does Condi blame Tenet first for not vetting the information?
Why does Tenet take the fall, and is that knife wound self-inflicted, or in his back?
Why did the CIA backtrack on the claims of the week before - that the admin already knew? Were the claims wrong, or is at least one person being the good little soldier?
Why does Condi yesterday claim those words were technically correct - especially since Tenet has already taken the fall?
Why did Rummy yesterday put the blame on the Brits?

Why did the line appear in the SOTU, when the same info was kept out of a Bush speech last October or so it is claimed.

When did Ari Fleischer become the sole arbiter of what the media or public should be talking about?

I am also nearly certain that the Niger reference was used by Bush on other occasions - not just those 15 words in the SOTU - but can't find any reference....Anybody?

Why cant the admin just admit that it was wrong instead of constantly waffling?
Don't they realize that this drawn out procedure is embarrassing, juvenile and casting shadows on any other "evidence" they may have put forward?
