re: Questions, questions, questions

Why does British Intelligence still insist that the African link is valid, based on information OTHER than the forged documents? Unless they had confidence in this information, what possible motivation could they have for coming out with such a statement in the teeth of this controversy?

Why does the fact that Joseph C. Wilson (the ambassador on whose statements much of this flap rides) is a rampant anti-Bush partisan not get noticed in the media?

Why is the Left hogpiling on such a minor issue? If this piece of data was a mistake, does it automatically invalidate the many other reasons for going to war with Iraq? Should Saddam be restored to power if he didn't try buy uranium from Africa? Is this really all the Left has got in its quiver right now? I can understand why they desperately want an investigation...they've got nothing, and hope something will be dug up.

1. I have no idea why UK still says so. The CIA is now going from "based on one source" - the forgery - to multiple source which could not be validated to the highest degree necessary for a SOTU address.

2. Shoot the messenger? Especially since you now have a relatively high-placed ex-official to mouth off at rather than shooting down the un-named sources of the past. If he is telling the truth - and the whole shennanigans by the admin last week would seem to corroborate that - WTF does it matter where his interests lie? (Never mind that the U claim was shot down ages ago by the IAEA.)

3. If the data was a mistake then admit it.
But if that one piece was a mistake, how many of the other pieces of "evidence" we have been presented with are exaggerated, misconstrued or outright wrong?
Hogpile on the one chink in the armour found so far.

Why are you so afraid of something else being dug up?
