An important point
"We do know that Saddam sent money to the families of suicide bombers in Israel, so he did support terrorism. "
This seems to be common as a fall-back position for the Hawks. But think about it this way: if this is what we mean by 'supporting terrorism' then Saudi Arabia is guilty of this too, and indirectly so are we (as we support the Saudis). So is Kuait, So are many arab states.
So if we want this to 'be what we mean' when we claim "saddam supported terrorism", then we are supporting the same class of folks with one hand that we slayed with the other.
Sounds like hypocracy at best to me.
