He thought he could win the Gulf War and still thought he won it through political outcry.

Osama bin Laden thinks he can win the fight with the US.

The president of Iran has said he knows how to take care of the US and is going to kill all of us someday.

The problem with your analogy is you need sane drivers for it to work.
