As for "better off," how the hell do you measure that? The assumption behind that is that Saddam would be harmless forever. We're dealing now with the problems created by the first Bush kicking the can down the road. Is it your opinion that if we just stayed out of it and spent our resources civilizing Afghanistan, all the rest, Libya, Syria, Iran, Iraq, and the rest would just have gone away?
