I think the point of the original article was preferring sheepdogs.

As for your women on the pedestal of moral purity:

With a few notable exceptions, women have spent most of human history as property or second (more often third or fourth) class citizens.

The people we are fighting are from that side of the aisle.

When you ask the average person to name a society of free and independent women, real or imaginary, what name will he be likely to come up with? And were they famous for their homekeeping?

Anybody will fight if they are cornered. Most of the "sheep" in the U.S. would fight if their nation was being physically overrun by an enemy. But the entire point of our military and police is so you don't have to barricade your street and arm yourself against an approaching army, or take on a criminal in your own home. We were damn lucky in WWII. Europe and other places weren't, and I'd bet some European had wished somebody had done something when Hitler took the Rhineland.

There are some things you can't deflect with summit meetings, compassion, and written agreements, and too many people have learned this the hard way.

Would you have supported entering WWII if Japan had not attacked Pearl Harbor, and Hitler hadn't declared war on us? (On paper--he never actually attacked the U.S. first.)
