...and its because these atrocities inevitably happen in war we need to be damn sure that going to war is the right thing to do.
The problem is that this war was started by a bunch of neocon chickenhawks who didn't have a clue as to what they were getting in to. The current debacle was eminently predictable.
Watching this incompetence unfold I have come to the conclusion that the people running our country are criminally negligent and should be removed from office, prosecuted and incarcerated.
I am not a peacenik dove. I supported military action in Afghanistan. There was good cause that outweighed the risks. Not so with Iraq. It was a war - we started without a cause. And it may well be the ruin of this great nation.
