I would be delighted to stop war. But, I think there are enough dimwits in the world that this is not possible. What is possible is for this nation to have a strong enough military to offer a defense so formidable that an enemy would understand it would be tantamount to suicide to attack us. Then, we could pursue our national objectives overseas by negotiation and trade.
You might note, "beloved United Nations" is your construction, not mine. I wish to maintain the soverignty of the US and do not think US interests are always served by the interests of our allies or trading partners. It is nice when we have support and most nations are on the same page in pursuing objectives, but I stronly believe in the US following our own best interests.
BTW. Evil, I learned that "War is a continuation of politics by other means" at the US Naval Academy. I served in the military---did you?
