your assuming that the laws of thermodynamics we know to be true are infact correct or complete. These laws where "discovered" or uncovered at some point in time and a long time age at that, whos to say that we've uncovered all there is to know about thermodynamics? We've only created measuring devises based on our understanding, now if this is not complete how can we dismiss it. Stan Meyer's had to go through 3 yrs of a process which I have had some experience with myself, convincing the patents office to grant him patents on his invention. They possibly never had a clue how it worked but where convinced that it worked, enough to grant him a patent(very difficult to do for this type of claim on a device).
