Lindy, it's the implausibility of the situations that is more glaring than the implausibility of the "technologies." And believe me, that's incandescent already.
There are things most of these ideas have in common. First is that somebody comes up with something in a garage that, just as one example, car companies have spent billions trying to find.
Second, somehow there is never quite a testable model, never quite a reproduction of results, never quite a coherent technical explanation, never quite enough money to do it "right." In extreme cases, there is a lot of talk about millions of dollars of "deals" just around the corner, with the Air Force, car companies, or somebody. Just around the corner.
Stan Meyers was picking at this idea for thirty frigging years.
Here's a list of just some of the many people who have managed to "run cars on water." Yet somehow, nobody has ever gotten anywhere with it.
Believe me, Lindy, if anyone ever does come up with something this way, it will not be difficult to bring it to the world. For every evil "Man In Black" corporation trying to suppress it, there will be five corporations dying to build it.
To believe that automobile companies, of any nation, would not sell their grandmothers to the zoo for bear meat to put this kind of thing into their cars, requires a mental torquing I can't even get my head around. I track the real research, Lindy. Every last fraction of a mile per gallon that science can squeeze out of the kind of cars that people will buy is solid gold to a car company.
There should be a syndrome name for these poor "free energy" slobs, something like the technical version of "Munchhausen Syndrome."
