re: Space and Time: even without leaving LEO we've learned so much
Isn't it presumptious to believe we'll be there in any form and that it would matter ?
We live one century as an individual, a few millennia as a civilization and this one has changed so fast, lately.
We can't leave the solar system as the nearest star is too far.
Surely, our knowledge of the space-time scale must make us understand plenty of other things can and will happen before the Sun's ultimate fate will engulf our planet.
