I watched the 1970's version staring the late Christopher Reeve.
The 1970's version was pure camp; didn't take itself too seriously;
and didn't care a hoot about the Law of Physics.
YEEEAAAHHH!!!... To HELL with the Laws of Physics!!!
OK!....Now that I got that off my chest, what do I think of this new Superman movie?
Better special effects, yes;
cares a little about the Laws of Physics, as if that's important [HEY! With Superman, the Laws
of Physics obey him, not the other way around.] ; and there is a metaphysical and metaphorical depth
to the movie some will appreciate, some will not.
For all you space buffs, the scene where a passenger-jet serves as a launching platform for
a new type of space-shuttle [did anybody say X-Prize Hardware?] is well....Well?...
Let's put it this way: I wish "Superman" accompanied every space shuttle launch.

- It's all part of a disturbing trend.
