Still a mild and wet summer here.

Just remember that compressed air heats up, and a High pressure system pushes compresses the air.

The summer high usually sits in the Southwest, over Arizona, making it hot for Art. Over the last few years it has been parking itself over Texas much of the summer. This summer it has moved once again. It is further north, helping to give Houston a mild, wet summer. I think it is pulling air from the Northeast down to us.

When the High sits over the Mississippi Valley, we get a lot of hot moisture off the Gulf, making it hot and humid. When it is to our South, we get the dry desert air out of Mexico.

I stepped outside around 6pm yesterday and it was actually pleasant. I was amazed because usually in August, it is still hot late into the evening.

Still have not hit a 100 yet.
