"I said there was no change to it recently so that it was in effect last year and the year before to the same extent that it is in effect for the current heat wave. "
Over last 100 years you are going to have more added temperature due to Urban heat Island than compared to Global warming, ie, GW: over time period of 100 years : 1 F. UHI over same time period: 7 F
50 year: GW: 1/2 F and UFI: 3 1/2 F.
Ect.
Not attempting anything precise, but roughly speaking it's right. There is more causation for high temperature in NY city because UFI than compared to GW- and it's actually closer to 5 to 10 times greater- and doesn't matter whether it's two years or 100 years. Yes, the UHI in 2 years is very slight, but it's even less in regards to GW affecting NY's temperature- and more since considering that since 1998, Global temperature has remain flat or slightly declining.
