Let review:
Heat island affect can add over 10 C to an urban area. So as SWAG with NY,NY 5- 10 F could be added to this 111 F daytime high temperature due to Heat Island Affect [would without this be somewhere around 101-106 F].

Global temperature has risen around 1 F in last Century due to a warming trend and the Century before this we were in the Little Ice Age. Of the 1 degree F rise in global temperature, it's probably unlikely that all human activity has added as much as 1/2 a degree F to this temperature. And most of temperature increase due greenhouse affect would mostly increase nite time temperatures and warmer winters.

In other words the increase of global CO2 has added less than 1 degree F to the NY, NY daytime time temperature- the added affect is practically speaking immeasurable. For instance suppose a few decades ago, we had enough nuclear power plants so that fossil fuel was not used to generate any electrical power [in US instead of around 100 nuclear power plants we had 500 or more nuclear power plants- thereby reducing US CO2 emission by over 2 billion tonnes per year]. And suppose all transportion used hydrogen to power vehicles- reducing round another 2 billion tonnes of CO2 per year- and thereby reducing US emission to effectively zero. And suppose the whole world did all this 2 decades ago. All of this would have had no measurable affect upon the present NY,NY daytime temperature of 111 F.
Whereas if NY,NY 2 decade ago had done something to reduce it Urban Heat Island affect, it's quite possible that it could have reduced it's current 111 F temperature by around 5 degrees. But other than that modest reduction, you still have the fact that in summer you get heatwaves- if NY City didn't exist and humans did not exist the temperature in NY area would probably still be around 100 F.
