Or the same reason so many Democrats pushed McCain in the primaries 2000 to get somebody they could beat in the general. Political reality.

I'd like to see the Republican win, but given that this is impossible in the People's State of Connecticut, I'll settle for Leiberman. Why is that so hard to understand?
