Publius: OK, Darth VectER, your vote does not disturb me, for the greatest martial arts teach
me to allow an attacker the opportunity to fall down.
Darth VectER: My vote should have been a death knell.
Publius: Nooooo! Darth, you are not my mother.
Darth VectER: Now you have me confused? I thought my position was strong;firm and unyeilding.
Publius: Your position is the universal Republican committment to absolutism; stay the course, be strong and rigid, create fear, send the children of the poor to war, allow the corporations to reap the benefits of no-bid contracts, pay off debts with cheap money by inflating the dollar, reduce taxes on the richest 1% etc.
Darth VectER: But this is the sole source of my income. I am part of the apparatus and benefit greatly by this system, there can be nothing wrong or false with it.
Publius: Remember that which is rigid and hard as rock can be worn away by water, which is fluid, soft and yielding, like the energy of the group, the forces of the nameless soft Democrats.
Darth VectER: But, what does that mean?
Publius: This is another paradox: in the Tao that which is soft is strong.
Darth VectER: But, I am part of the strong, Republicans are a reality and resist change.
Publius: Ah, yes grasshopper. But remember the Democrats are soft, like Charmin, and will sweep in to clean up the messes you have made.
Darth VectER: You forget that neo-cons follow the laws of the market, and as long as we control and manipulate the market we indeed have the force on our side.
Publius: The market is indeed a mighty force, but it works best when it is free and uncontrolled and certainly not dominated by giant multinational corporations that strangle competition. But you need learn that power and effectiveness come from following the Jeffersonian principles that make the concerns of the governed as the reason for government. Even Republicans should learn there is no substitute for knowing how things happen and acting accordingly.
Darth VectER: I get torn in so many directions. I really like cars, I would like to be a real person, and not just a wooden boy. What am I doing wrong?
Publius: There is no right or wrong to it. Many in your club seek only to fulfill your immediate desires. You think only in terms of quarterly results. You feel the role of government is to serve you and your fellow neo-cons only.
Darth VectER: Yes this is true, but I am plagued by endless needs, I live a busy life constantly seeking stimulation and novelty, is this wrong?
Publius: Of course not, but the neo's have lost sight of Mandeville's bees. What is common is unversal and simple in its complexity. Education needs be for everyone, not just the rich. Universal Healthcare on a single payer basis benefits the entire nation, and by keeping the poorest out of the emergency room and abandoning medicine treating soley pathology and entering an era of preventative medicine could be worked to costing no more than our present mishmash. Education has long been a foundation of our work force, the evelving future requires higher education be made available to all and will reap social benefits beyond belief, space exploration has returned over $8. for every dollar spent in the past, and should be expected to do so in the future, plus unintended developments of consumer products result. Living wages should be the norm for everyone working full time in this country. Only then can workers be the consumers required to keep business going. Having full time workers stuck below the poverty line is an abomination. Aggressive warfare is counterproductive and a waste of money. A strong defense in necessary, but the military should be evolved to meet current challenges and not developed to fight yesterday's wars. Remember that at the start of WWII, Poland had the greatest mounted force in Europe. They would have been awesome in WWI; but they were cannon foder for the blitzkreig and horses don't do well against tanks. I could continue, but fear you have already reached the point of sensory overload. To be brief, you can resolve your torment by changing your voter registration to the Democratic party. You will come to understand "things and events." This is you long search for seeing things reconciled by the vibratory. You can finally understand vibration is the opposities or polarities and they may agree with one another, or conflict. And whether they are cooperative or conflicting will take their form and become resolved in accordance with the law when the Democratic party is once again the majority party.
Darth VectER: Suddenly I see!!!---flashes back to scene from "Cool Hand Luke" what we have had was " .........what we have here is a failure to communicate."
