The "big planet" is now traditional in "space scenes." No stock scene of Our Heroes standing on some vacant area of California desert is complete without having about four gigantic "moons" hanging in the sky, each bigger than Jupiter as seen from Ganymede. Of course, the entire scene would, in real life, be a constant, 8th magnitude earthquake, but those big worlds sure look cool hanging up there...
