One reason we need the UN..
is for times like this when a general consensus among members agrees that something MUST be done with North Korea.
"Arms race", "deterents", "nuclear blackmail", all these catchy phrases need to be discussed and agreed upon, not allowing just one country to use it's judgement to pre-emptively strike and put other countreis at risk along with itself.
This is why I find our distate for the UN and putting in people like John Bolton a bad idea at these times. We need co-operation because the safety of our planet depends on it.
