Lee surrendered to a civilized army and government whose goal was to restore the Union and rebuild the South. Our enemies have something else in mind.

Dunkirk is a bit closer, but then you have to ask yourself, where is the battlefield where we will re-enter the war? Dunkirk was a retreat, not a surrender.
