Too bad you don't run a newspaper, or a cable news outlet.

Hell, run for office and I'd probably vote for you.

The problem isn't "everyone." It's people in positions of influence.

The views I am talking about are currently prevalent in journalism, in the education system, and in half of our political system. "Prevalent" has an exact meaning. Notice that this statement would not have been as true forty years ago, and even less true fifty years ago.

There are Democratic politicians who want us to win in Iraq. They are being systematically drummed out of the party.

There are probably conservative academic leaders in the great universities, too. None are coming immediately to mind, but maybe you have some examples.

As for the press, the bias is obvious. It's not brainwashing, it's largely self-selection over time. Conservative views just don't get that far in most media outlets, with a few freakish exceptions, like Fox News.

This survey, and this one, illustrate part of the situation.

The rest of it is simply observation on my part. Positive news about the war, throughout the war, has been almost impossible to find outside of the internet and local news coverage.
