You're right that you have little control over them in tiny cloistered towns but they stick out like a sore thumb when they stray outside their protected environment.
Looking back on the leadup to 9/11 it's easy to see how we should've seen this all coming. There were huge letdowns in vigilance and many very obvious clues which we were oblivious to. Is it your contention we couldn't spot the same kind of plot today without being in the Iraq war? I just can't see the link here. Just how does dodging IED's in Ramadi get us Al Quaeda operatives in Morocco?
Oh yeah, we're sucking them into Iraq where we'll smoke em out. Seems to be working just great there if it weren't for them "terrists" breedin like rabbits.
