re: Anybody got a high-def TV?

You're right - my laptop is 1920 x 1200 whereas HDTV is 1280 x 720 or, if you put most of your major organs on Ebay and buy a really REALLY expensive set, 1920 x 1080. There are LCD monitors available that are 2560 x 1600 (30" from Dell and Apple) - so to be honest, a large PC monitor (or indeed, two :) ) is a better solution than an HDTV.

For comparison, normal resolution TV is 720x576 here in Europe and 720 x 480 in the US.
