Well.

What state?

Confusion mostly. ;8~>

Oh, and I thought Slick died. Or did he just present a burial?

Historical Google - Ice Storm 2000-2001, Christmas/New Year. Actually worse than this one in a lot of ways. Took them nearly two weeks to get the power back to more than 20% of the population, a few went without for nearly a month. Water systems were down for almost that long.

An awful lot of stock was lost during that event, wasn't any way to get to them, surface water froze up hard.

The most vital supply stock need when it's really cold is water. A cow needs abour three to five gallons a day, a horse, 3 to 6 when it's cold. When the get thirsty enough they'll walk out onto frozen ponds and fall through. You can figure out the results.

There were some rather high end stock lost. Including a couple of really expensive horses that got out of the barn by accident or weren't found in time to move to shelter.

This time most everyone was back up in four-five days. There will be a few who will be out for two-three weeks.

Water systems were down for 1-2 days for the most part.

Actually the respones is much better this time because a lot more people were listening to the Weather Forcasts
