The wheeze that communist revolutions happen because they are "enabled" by evil capitalists is older than I am. Communists want absolute power, and throughout the past century they have been just as happy to devour a primitive agrarian society as one loaded with rich industrialists.
Nobody is suggesting any kind of interference in Venezuela, covert or otherwise. Certainly not me.
Now, it might be nice if academics in America who teach Chavez's worldviews to our young people were ridden out of town on a rail, but that's just a long-time personal quirk of mine.
As long as people are taught that collectivist economics is a wonderful idea, people will keep falling for it, and nations will keep trying it over and over again to their detriment.
We can't do anything about Venezuela, but we can at least expose those useful idiots in our own country who think Chavez is the greatest thing to hit the hemisphere to the derision they deserve.
Education is the thing.
