I am not the best articulator , so I suspect that I have been misunderstood....
When I said that people would sell their soul for money...What I was lamely trying to evoke was that for all the people that put false hope into pseudoscience.....the effect it has on everyday life, the effect it has on the number of people in the world is but a mere blip on the radar.
The love of money...which I am well aware is NOT a pseudoscience, is more of a threat to the well being of all walks of life...Therefore a much greater problem to be concerned with than the silliness of horoscopes, aliens, numbers, crystals, pyramid power...whatever flavor of the month one chooses to believe in.
RL seemed so defiantly disgusted with these people....and I quite honestly did not see what the fervor was about.
I was being judgmental....I thought that it was wasted energy to be upset with something I perceived as trivial.
I felt that kind of fervent emotion should be focused towards a tangible threat that rocks the very foundation of common decency on the whole planet....
