Well, horoscopes are probably as significant as a match in raging firestorm. You have to be pretty kooky to take horoscopes very seriously. It's the pseudo science which isn't widely thought to nutty which can be more dangerous. Exterminating Jews was considered by enough people to be something based on science. You might consider that getting to the level of "cram it down one's throat".
Pseudoscience is only dangerous to the extant that people mistake or confuse it with science. For instance, when Gore runs around talking about sea levels rising 20' that is an example of pseudoscience. Even though Gore is not a scientist, lots of people assume that what he is saying is based on scientific knowledge.
Other examples of pseudoscience: large number of deaths caused by second hand smoke, dangers of depleted Uranium, Dangers of DDT, Dangers of Ozone Hole, Dangers with living near freeways, dangers of living near high powered lines, and there is a huge number of others which are accepted by large numbers of people as scientific.
