...is not as bad as world wide religions.
It's a belief in SOMETHING.
We all know how zany some people are in their beliefs.
Whether it's Tom in his right-leaning Libertarianism, Lee with his racist statements, your pro-life Christian neighbour, your greedy boss who exchanges souls for money, or any other number of belief fetishes.
Frankly, pseudo science is none other than a spin-off of those bored to death of available religions and the state of science that doesn't have answers to everything, either.
Take the Islamic religion; founded around the stone at Mecca.
Could have been a meteorite, however, there's a whole cargo cult around it.
> all Muslims make the Hajj to Mecca to visit at least once in their life.....to walk around this black building in the epicenter of Mecca, 7 times, counterclockwise.
The "black stone" inside is said to have been delivered by God to Abraham. Muhammed himself placed the stone into the Ka'ba, after it was lifted into place on a cloth by the leaders of several tribes, creating arab unity in the region. The black stone is the most sacred artifact in the Muslim world, and is "proof" to them of Allahs' preference for Islam over all other religions, which results in justification for them to destroy any "unbeliever". Five times a day all Muslims world over pray facing Mecca, specifically though they are facing this sacred "black stone" in the Ka'ba.
Psuedo science is nothing but a pejorative word for another class of believers.
