I've observed a similar spread of attitude from people you'd think (listening to the Right) are virulently anti-Republican. We seem to be in a period of slow news about the Right, and people like Jon Stewart at the Daily Show are more than happy to skewer Democrats to take up the slack. On a short time scale Repubs might be right that they attract more than their statistical share of barbs, but hey, those are the wages of six years of power. The '90s were about Clinton and Monica, and my don't those seem like the good old days. Nothing like a few years of Republican Rule to put things into perspective.
