re: Yeah, blame democracy

Why should economic power be above democracy, Tom?

Again, the underlying premise is that nobody owns what they earn. The term "share of a nation's wealth" also relies on that premise. Once you are able to disconnect the concept of "earn" from the picture, the looting comes easy.

There are a lot of things that aren't supposed to settled by majority vote. That's what a constitution is for, or sixty percent of Americans could decide to restore slavery. Ten people holding me up at the ATM isn't any more moral than one person doing it.

I have heard the term "economic democracy" since I was in college, and I know exactly what it means.

I've seen what the Democrats have in the pipeline as far as taxes and the rest go. Hope you're ready for it. Penalizing production, success, and innovation has always been a great way to encourage it.

As far as Halliburton ducking taxes, that's <a href=http://www.slate.com/id/2161652?nav=tap3">yet another load of crap, but I'm sure it's solidified into the Leftist Mythology far beyond anything anyone could do to pry it out now.
