The used bookstore is right next to the Printers Inc. (now Books Inc.) location on Castro.
I don't mind the big bookstore chains that much. They try for the small store ambiance, and any store that lays easy chairs all over the place for people to plop into with a cup of coffee and a book they haven't bought yet gets points from me. Amazon is taking a lot of the market now. My faithful old Science Fiction Book Club is probably not long for this world...

One of our engineers used to live on a boat at the Redwood City marina, which I think has been closed. Zoning types around here tend to be bastards about boat dwellers.
