Where I live, there is a broad range of income levels. And not all entrepreneurs are electronics companies, not by a long shot. Most of the startups around here are little restaurants and small shops, mostly run by very hard-working immigrants. Turnover is high.
Each new "Grand Opening" banner gives me a lift, and each "going out of business" sign makes me sad. I know exactly what it's like. I've been both places. If they succeed, and maybe open up a chain of restaurants, someday they'll be The Enemy of the People, too. But this is the heart of what makes our country great.
One of my favorite places to eat here is a Mongolian Barbeque that's been here since I moved here over twenty years ago. The same family still runs it, and my kids started there in high chairs. Best egg rolls and sesame biscuits in town. If they put mushrooms in the buffet, it would be perfect.
Ironically, you won't find that many Wal-Marts and Home Depots up in San Francisco, where so many of the Right-Thinking people live.
