If it's about countering terrorism, it's about highly trained troops like the GIGN.
Very small groups, very well trained, armed, discreet individiuals and not the too visible nervous, trigger happy, untrained troops.
That's the future!
The US got itself into Iraq because it convinced itself it was at war.
What goes on in Iraq must be a wake up call to all those who still believe an army is always the answer.
Terrorists are the antithesis of the kind of enemy that armed services are designed and trained to fight.
