It all depends on yur point of view

It may come as news to the right wing partisans on this board, but after Watergate, the press went through a paroxysm of guilt about how it treated Richard Nixon. I don't know why, the scoundrel certainly had it coming, not only about Watergate but about the Pentagon Papers. It came down pretty hard on Jimmy Carter, too, but nowhere near as hard as it had on Nixon, and it pretty much let Reagan get away with treason. By the time we got into another major war, it attacked the Bush I administration and his war plan pretty heavily, but the Elder Bush demonstrated a firm grasp and sound management of the situation, the military performed brilliantly, and no one complains for long about the wars you win.

By the time Monica was put to rest, the press was back up to its old adversarial game again, sex in the Oval Office was just too good for ratings to pass up, but the Younger Bush pretty much had things his way after 911 and the events leading up to the invasion of Iraq. I know my original support of the war was based on information I got straight from the MSM.

I'm very much looking forward to Moyers' take on this, and the right wing blogosphere's reaction.
