Treason
Reagan believed that Central America should not be communist puppet states of the Soviet Union. The Democrats didn't care, and in fact, Democratic politicians flew down to hobnob with Ortega.
If the Democratic Party of that time had its way, siding with the Soviets and their allies against Reagan on almost every political front (not just Nicaragua), I can only imagine what the world would look like today.
If this is treason, make the most of it.
