Flame » in reply to NASA rethinks DEATH on LONG Space Flights

My impression of the censorship

Believe me, I'd normally be the last person to come to SDF's defense but it feels like an overreaction to his responses. When did we set a rule that precluded humorous responses from the Space board? Now his humor was seriously lacking but I certainly did not find it egregious. Death as a subject of humor, is only truly tasteless when it's applied to a recently departed individual or someone's loved one. For crying out loud, the subject here was only about hypothetical demise of some unknown astronaut.

I have to admit to thinking his attempts in humor could actually have some merit in extremely bizarre circumstances.

I think in this case the move was precipitated more by a personality conflict than by some interpretation of the rules. I'd prefer not to see that occur again.

Now, if we want to talk about beating up on and chastising people for being jerks, you know I'm all in favor of it as long as we don't all have to be pushed about for it to happen.
