When I was a little girl, I believed that astronauts were too well protected to be injured.
I was a child, but my childhood impressions were reinforced by everything I saw.
I no longer have those impressions. History has shown me otherwise.
Discussing death in space, especially on a long trip, only makes sense to me now. Not to prepare for it seems to me to be a step back to childhood.
Cannibalism isn't something that would have occurred to me, but since it was brought up, to bring up reasons why it's not a practical consideration for normal human beings under extraordinary stress appears to be a better alternative to namecalling.
