And one would have to agree that a very bright Al Gore, doing everything he could to jeopardize the safety and security of the United States, to increase the deficit and trade imbalances, to ruin the US record on human and civil rights, to destroy the credibility of the US as a moral or ethical force in the world and to institutionalize corruption in government and the looting of the US taxpayer by large corporations.

Would not have been possible. The Prefect Storm came together in Cheney/Bush and the Conservative Congress. Al Gore could have gone to sleep for 8 years and done a better job.
The US would be safer, that's for sure. US citizens overseas would be safer. More Iraqis and Afghanis would be spending times with their families, more Americans would be alive.
Ya gotta admit, Al Gore looks pretty good compared to any Conservative.
