Why does he push so many buttons for conservatives? Friends were visiting the other day - Oregonians, by the way, very nice folks but very conservative - and my daughter was watching "An Inconvenient Truth" in French for her Gr. 12 final oral exam. They got quite hot under the collar, calling Gore all sorts of non-cuss-but-not-flattering names.

From my perspective, he was a bright, reasonable guy - I didn't study him closely, but he certainly came across to me as a much better man that Dubya or Cheney. Why was he so hated?

(Daughter did very well on her exam, BTW!)
