It is not impossible that Johannes'' car keys were stolen by a 3 foot tall clown...

...but it is so darn unlikely, that it makes sense to assume that a much likelier explanation is true (left the keys in his other pants, for example). When you have a photo of a clown caught in the act, get back to me.
