Olbermann's a good speaker and puts together a compelling commentary, but I haven't gone out of my way to view his work. I enjoy it when I catch it, though. Amidst the dramatic tones and polished delivery is a great deal of insight and truth.
Coulter, on the other hand, is fingernails on a chalkboard to me. She's become the Howard Stern of political pundetry and though both she and Olbermann call the American political divide home, Coulter seems to take a certain sadistic glee in the exploitation of alientation, anger and hatred. In fact, over the last couple of years that seems to have become the largest part of her gig. Or maybe the glee comes from finding that she can push some pretty base buttons and still has an audience that eagerly laps it up. I don't think it speaks well for us. Her career has become a celebration of intolerance. I know there are some who are just fine with that, and that doesn't speak well for us either.
