Agree to disagree

Well that's going to have to be the outcome on this one Lindy because, being local, I'm probably privy to a more balanced consensus on this than you are. Nobody I've talked to here that I consider intelligent and informed think this any more than an overreaction by some people with more wishful thinking than common sense.

I've seen the videos Lindy and there really is nothing in them that convinces me otherwise. I think you get a very one-sided view of a lot of these issues from the sites you visit and the circles you frequent. That doesn't mean at all that they're all kooks and gullible. It's just that they filter information just like all humans do.

If you're running a website where you want to inform others about paranormal phenomena or unexplained events, you tend to attract the type of information that is going to support it. The video you present is in that category. However, I've seen numerous others that are much clearer and give the bigger picture.

Remember, I was here that night and out and about at the time this was supposedly going on. Maybe I wasn't looking at the right place but nothing out of the ordinary went across any of my views. It was a night just like any other. To then go home and hear that there was this major event that supposedly happened was pretty weird.

As the days went on the few people really pushing this as some strange event turned out to be ones that had some pretty checkered pasts and that had their share of controversial statements over the years. One was a local whack job of a politician and another a past governor that had been convicted of fraud and removed from office. At the same time I was hearing from people I consider rational, intelligent, and also highly connected with the goings-on around the valley and they were telling me it was all hot air. This was long before the military ever started giving out their explanations.

I wish I could support you on this one. It would be exciting thinking we had a real mystery going on in my area but I'm afraid I just can't go for this one.
