And I know pure propaganda when I see it:
The old, gristled & harmless, simple Iraqi woman holding US death in her hands that interrupted her beauty sleep.
Nothing about the image is pro-US. It's all negative. The US military is a would-be killer of gristled grandmas - except they're not good enogh shots and could only hit her bed. The photographers in your face close-up shows he intended to send that message.
Proof? Simple enough. One just looks at other images by the same photographer and one can see what sorts of agenda Wissam Al-Okaili is serving - his mission is to portray Iraqi suffering. Such a mission only serves the folks who want us out of Iraq so they can secure the billions of dollars of yearly building/maintenance contracts associated with Iraq's infrastructure. Who is Wissam's boss? The French media giant - AFP Agence France Presse.
The French want us out so they can make billions in profits. They are the money behind the insurgency, and use their contacts in Iran to promote the insurgency and destabilize Iraq - as I pointed out in other threads. Their media empire works feverishly on its propaganda war in the US against the average citizen.
It's a big deal only because most folks are unaware of what's happening and think the French are not involved. We have propaganda folks too. But there's no mistaking it for "balanced" news - this is pure anti-US, French-coined propaganda for their own per$onal intere$t$ and agenda.
France stands to make at least 12 billion a year in Iraq when the US stands down. France is making much more than that in Iran and were making about that much in Iraq with Saddam in charge.
Want to end the Iraq insurgency in a week? Drop a few targeted munitions on several French industrial corporate HQs and show the French death-brokers we know how to be ruthless too.
France wants their golden goose back.
Flame » in reply to Anal about the ammo.
I guess I'm just an old propagandist.
