What you're saying may very well be true, at least to some extent; but the fact that you seem so determined to bring it up and publicize it at every opportunity suggests that this belief is much more essential to maintaining your world view than the MSM is to maintaining mine. On this thread, in particular, it looks like you were really fishing a bit too hard and too long in this pond.
Is every photograph of a flag-draped coffin coming home, or of a grieving wife or mother, evidence of a media conspiracy? One in which the perpetrators may not even realize they are participating in? Is every story of an Al Quaeda atrocity or of GIs building a school proof that we need to be in Iraq? I detect a desperate search for justification of a previously held opinion here. In other words, cherry-picking and self-fulfilling prophecies. Believe me, the left is often just as critical of the MSM as you are, and often their rhetoric sounds just like yours, with only a few key phrases and epithets substituted.
Personally, I have problems of my own with the MSM, not so much that they pick sides, but that they avoid taking sides; they tend to pursue those stories most likely to sell papers or attract broadcast advertisers, the feel-good stuff like Harry Potter and Britney and Bradgelina and TomKat. But then again, they are a business, and the stockholders must be kept satisfied.
How's it going, TB? It's great to be back.
