Believe me

I'm absolutely with you on the love of space and see an absolute necessity for mankind to continually push its boundaries.

I think, in a world where billions are spent on sports and entertainment each day, that the paltry amount that NASA gets is worth every penny no matter how many social problems are going on.

At the same time though I see no outrage at all from people about the huge expenditures of our military or our waste of energy and resources. When I read Bowser's post I understood that frustration in his message. We want it all in this country and not just our share but more. At least a small portion of our quest for space is that simple childish greed to have it all and now. I'm as guilty of that as anyone.

I can fully go along with fully funding whatever we need to reach for the stars as long as we can drop our expectations somewhere else or become more efficient at our lives. I've seen numerous posts by you about our nation's security where you'll settle for nothing but 100% guarantee that no bad guys will ever harm us again. The cost for that is immeasurable and probably never can be attained and yet you've attacked people who haven't shared your passion for going after the bad guys. Are you willing to pull back a bit on those expectations if it means more funding for space?

I see no more hypocrisy from Bowser than I do from anyone else passionate about their ideals on here. I may not agree with all his ideas but I certainly will never impugn his character and concern for mankind's future.
